An international luxury company is looking for a Digital Media Manager to join as a key project manager on all China digital media platforms, particularly WeChat. You would play a key role in this most important digital channel to reach new and existing clients in Asia, creating the strategies, overseeing and implementing executions that effectively uses the WeChat platform to drive business, client recruitment and retention, while also delivering unique and memorable client experiences on the platform.
You would be responsible for:
Developing the overall WeChat and Chinese digital media strategy guiding clients through Brand Discovery, Exploration, Acquisition, Post-Purchase and Retention
Collaborating closely with stakeholders and teams (Marketing, Product, Editorial, PR, CRM, IT) throughout the organization globally and regionally to realize this vision
Overseeing the strategy and execution for brand and campaigns to drive purchase, from ideation to launch, including integrated marketing campaign planning, creative development, user experience, campaign performance tracking and analysis
Working closely with the Digital Marketing and CRM teams to harness WeChat’s CRM capabilities to effectively reach and nurture clients in Asia, with an emphasis on China
Defining and monitoring KPIs to optimize the ROI of these campaigns and activities
Budget planning and management
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, Business or Marketing preferred
Minimum 10 years’ work experience specializing in digital marketing, with a deep understanding of the WeChat ecosystem, ideally for a luxury e-commerce or fashion brand
Hands-on experience with WeChat activations and campaigns utilizing WeChat marketing, payment, and CRM tools (ie Mini-Programs, Live Streaming, Mobile Payments, WeChat Work)
Strong understanding of Chinese clients and the social communication dynamics
Proven ability to understand high-level business goals and how they translate into digital marketing strategy when applied via online technologies
Fluent in Mandarin, Simplified Chinese, and English
